Personland Laws

Everything on this page belongs to an entertainment project. It is not a state, nothing here is a law, and none of it has legal force outside person.land. The Privacy Notice is the exception: it describes how we handle your data for real.

Where should I start?

Pick the thing you actually came here for.

Start with the Rules on Payments, then the Rules on Land. Payments is how the money moves. Land is what you are actually getting.

Read the Rules on Souvenirs. They cover the Certificate of Ownership, the Citizen ID, and a certificate of a title or skill, and they say plainly that none of these is a passport, visa, diploma or court paper.

Read the Rules on the Registry. An entry is optional. It shows a name, a citizen number, tile numbers, a date and a message. It never shows an email.

Read the Privacy Notice. That one is not part of the joke. It is the page that says what we keep and how to ask for it to be deleted.

Start with Article 1 of the Constitution. It is the sentence the rest of the pile is not allowed to contradict: Personland is a souvenir, and a real country's law wins if the two ever meet.

The papers

  • Constitution

The foundation: status, citizens' rights, symbols, language, the Chairperson, land, payments, and what happens if the project closes.

  • Rules on Land

The map, how tiles are sold, choosing a tile, what is allowed on a tile, and the reserved center.

  • Rules on Payments

How to pay in USDT, what to do if something goes wrong, and what is and is not refunded.

  • Rules on Souvenirs

Certificates and Citizen IDs: what they say, and what they are not allowed to say.

  • Rules on the Registry

Who appears in the registry, what it shows, how to be removed, and the Hall of Fame.

  • Privacy Notice

What data we collect, who handles it, and how to ask us to delete it.

Auctions and souvenir currency are marked Second phase where they appear. Those parts are not open yet, and there is no Rules on Auctions page until then.

Fun facts

Personland's Constitution cannot be amended by a vote, because Personland doesn't have voting. The one article the Chairperson can never change is the one that says none of this is real.
